2 Months Old!!

Oh my how time flies. I can't believe that my baby boy is already 2 months old....and that I haven't updated this thing in 3 months. Sorry to all 3 people that actual check this :) Not alot has changed around here since the arrival of Mr. Keegan. I have enjoyed not working and just being home with him. I am in the talks with my bosses about going back to work part time. The best part about it is Keegan will be coming to work with me! Sucks, but might as well bring in a income while I still can. In a few months he will be all over the place and this opportunity wont be possible.

This summer Matthew has been taking summer classes! So his life is pretty non-stop between work, school, and his home life. We enjoy him when he gets a break though.

Keegan is an amazingly awesome little boy! I figure thats Gods sense of humor to makes your first born that way so you want another kid and then that one comes and its the total opposite :) We had K's 2 month appointment this past week. He is weighing in at 15 pounds 3 ounces and 24 1/4"long! He is definitely eating well. He is in the 99% in weight and 94% in height! We have one big little boy on our hands. He is sleeping around 8 hours a night but then eats and sleeps for another 3! We are soooo blessed in this area considering Matthew and I love to sleep.

K had a great first 4th of July! We went to see fireworks two nights in a row. The first night we were in Kennesaw and K watched the entire show!

The second night we went to Powder Springs and he slept through the whole show :) We got a picture of his while we were waiting for the show to start...and before he passed out!

This Fathers Day we actually got to celebrate cause Matthew is finally a daddy! K got his dad some Georgia Tech flip flops and a Georgia Tech hat. He wasn't awake to give them to him but Matthew was still excited.

Keegans first time in the pool was on Fathers Day with his daddy! I don't think he really knew what he was supposed to do.

And I will end this post with a family photo! Time to hit the gym to loose the rest of this baby weight :) I promise it wont take anothere 3 months for me to update again.

Easter / 35 Week Belly Shots

I remember back in August when we found out we were pregnant I figured out which holiday I was going to be the biggest at. I had seen women who painted their bellys to look like pumpkins, Christmas ornament, etc well for us our holiday was Easter. So on Easter night we painted my belly to look like an Easter egg. After we had started I remembered that I was wanting to do our 35 week belly shots that night....OOPS!

Here is the start of the whole process. The feeling of the marker sure did get annoying!

Then Matthew decided it would be easier if I were to stand...that lasted about 5 minutes!

We were over at his parents house so they got in on the action :)

His dad was waiting very patiently for his turn.

Definately glad that I decided to shave my armpits that morning HA

Notice the nice spray tan my mom bought me so I would look pretty/feel on Easter. She also gave me my yearly haircut...THANKS MOM!!!!

It is really hard to believe that next year we will be hiding Easter eggs for Keegan to find! The reality of everything is starting to set it. We have an appointment on the 12th for the dr to do an ultrasound to check out how big Keegan is then we go back on the 14th for our weekly check up. They will check that day to see if we are dialated any. Fingers crossed that we are...there isn't anymore room in the belly for this kid! They say once he drops down a little I will be more comfortable. I can't wait for that day.

Matthew informed me today that he will be traveling last week of April(not to thrilled about this) Hopefully Keegan will either come in the next 2 weeks or wait until May. Either way we are ready!!

Sunday School Class Shower

This past Sunday the girls of my Sunday School class through me a shower.

We had a few that couldn't make it but they were there in spirit!

Another GREAT cake! I loved the fact that the cake matches Keegans room! Crystal....you are so creative!! I decided none of the other pictures that were taken were Blog worthy :) But, it was another great shower and we got lots of cute stuff! Thank you Erin for hosting it at your house.

OK OK OK enough slacking :) Sorry to all of my dedicated blog readers! HA!

On March 20th one of my best friends and her mother threw me a shower!

It was awesome! Everything from the cake and decorations to the party favors were great! We left there with alot of needed stuff! Here are some pics of the party if you weren't there :)

The cake was red velvet and it was AMAZING!!!!!

From this picture you will be able to tell we are starting to blow up...kinda like a balloon. I have come to realize that I like pictures that a futher away. This to shall pass....

First Baby Shower

We had our first official baby shower this week! A small group of ladies that get together for a bible study at my moms house asked to throw us a shower. I mean who is really going to say no to that :) Since Matthew works from home on Wednesdays he was able to come to the shower - for the food of course!

There was so much food!!!

Now who doesn't love a good diaper bag! I think I registered for 5 different ones! Matthew is really loving all the little boy stuff....he may not tell you but he had a great time!

We are still feeling good! The heartburn/acid reflux junk has now started and I am not a fan. Hopefully it wont stick around. We go back to the dr on the 17th. I started working out this week...OUCH!! Carrying ALOT of extra weight sure makes your body hurt. HA

One of my best friends from Texas is coming in town on the 19th and I am having another shower on the 20th. I am so excited!!! This next week is going to go by so slow. I will take and post belly pics early this time since next weekend is going to be so busy.

29 Weeks

We are getting closer to baby time! We have now started going to the doctor every other week. The feeling of being cute pregnant is officially over! Now its all swollen feet and sore back!! I am really hoping that the next 10 weeks fly by. We actually got to have an extra Dr's appointment this week. During this appointment the Dr. informed me that Keegan is weighing 4 pounds and 1 ounce and has hair on his head...no bald or small baby here!!

They sent us home with this cute little picture of his profile! Another thing the Dr. informed me of is that if I don't watch my diet then I will be delivering a 10 pound baby. OH NO!! He is still measuring 2 weeks bigger than he should. So, no more fun food for me...atleast I will try!

We now have a new piece of furniture in Keegans room. For Christmas Matts parents bought us a glider. We love it!

I am sure I will spend alot of time in this chair! But for now we will let Matthew break it in :)

We are scheduled to go back to the doctor on the 3rd of March. Then starts the fun with baby showers and cake...we will be breaking our strict diet on those days :)

For the past 3 weeks Jonah and Kathy have been in town. It has been great to catch up with them. I think we have heard all there China stories multiple times. But hey the more you hear something the more you remember it right! They are leaving today to go back to China. Needless to say today kinda sucks! They are loving their lives over there and are doing some amazing things. So, I guess I will get over it.

During their time here Jordan, Audra and the kids came here from Houston. Only planning on being here 3 days they only brought clothes for 3 days. Well, on the 3rd day they got snowed in and ended up being here for 6 days! I was very thankful for the snow since it kept my family together a little longer. We took a few family photos Sunday morning before Jordan and Audra left to go home.

Notice the kids and Audra in their normal clothes...weren't planning on being here for church!! Jordan had to go out an buy a new suite so he could preach for dad. Our next family picture I wont be so plump and there will be a new member!!

We go this afternoon for our 29 week appointment! That means only 11 weeks to go. I am starting to get really excited and ready for May NOW!!

Keegans room is slowly coming together!!!

This is what it looks like when you walk in the room. The furniture isn't exactly how its going to be. We are waiting for the glider that Matts parents got us and then there is a hutch that goes on top of the dresser. So, once those pieces come in we will figure out what looks best. But for now...this is how it looks :)

25 Weeks

We are starting to round out more and more these days! We went and registered at Babies R Us this past weekend. We were there for about 4 hours and were completely worn out by the time we left. We did reward ourselves with a milk shake from Steak and Shake so it was well worth it. We still need to register at Target...maybe I can do it online :)

This week at the Dr we did the Glucose test. Since I had to be at work when it was time to drink the crap I took pictures to show Matthew.

This is the fruit punch flavor...I thought it was kinda good :)

Here we are drinking it....I am wierd I know!

And now the empty bottle! We should find out the results in a few days I think. Fingers crossed they come back negative!!

Well there really isn't anything new besides the size of my body so here ya go!

Furniture...

I am the most indecisive person in the world so when it came to choosing Keegans furniture I wanted to go insane! I mean he will use this furniture for a long time so it has to be awesome. Luckily I have awesome parents who wanted to buy the furniture as our Christmas present. I mean seriously who would turn that down?

This is his crib...I love it!!

And his dresser. There is a hutch that goes on top that is on order.

I am so excited I ordered the valance that goes with his bedding so we can match paint and it came in today. So, hopefully I can talk my wonderful mother in law into coming over soon and helping me paint!!

So, I am a little late....again! I have had some people (Valerie) on my back to update the world on my life/pregnancy.

We had a great new years. Jordan and his family were in town so it was fun to ring in the new year with them. Hadn't done that since we were little kids. We are SO excited cause Jonah and Kathy will be here in 2 weeks and we will celebrate Christmas all over again. By request of Jonah my Christmas decorations are still up. I am starting to feel a little white trash. But atleast my house is still pretty and festive :)

Our next doctors appointment is on the 20th. This is one appt. I am not really looking forward to. All of my appts so far I have made in the afternoon, mainly so I don't have to go back to work :) but this appt. is early in the morning so I can get it over with! They will be testing me for gestational diabetes, so I have to drink some fruit punch stuff and an hour later they will test my blood. Luckily my Dr. sent the stuff home with me so instead of going there and sitting there for an hour I can just drink it then go in. I pray that the test comes back negative because the little man REALLY likes sweet stuff these days! I am not a fan of diets especially when I am pregnant!!

I finally went over to my mom and dads last night and got the 4-D images of Keegan that we had taken at our 20 week appointment. So here is my little alien man....who is a fan of putting his thumb in his mouth already!

21 Weeks

It has been a while since I have blogged. OOPS! I meant to do it last week at the 20 week mark but I was sick and not feeling up to it. I have had a cold for over a week now. I swear this thing just doesn't want to go away. Two weeks ago we went to the hospital to get an ultrasound (my lovely insurance wouldn't pay for my doctor to do it for some reason). While we were there they did a 4-D ultrasound. Pretty cool! The little man doesn't have fat on him yet so he still looked kinda like an alien....a very cute alien though :) The cd of the pictures are at my mom and dads house so when I get them back I will put them on here. The nurse that performed the ultrasound told me I was having a textbook pregnancy. That made me very happy!! Last week we had our actual doctors appointment to go over all the ultrasound pictures and to check all the other stuff they check monthly. As of last week I had only gained 13 pounds..YIPPEE!! Our next appointment is the appointment where they will be testing me for gestational diabetes. I am looking forward to drinking the red substance that is in my refrigerator at home...NOT! Until then here are some updates pics of the belly :)

So far we are only carrying to the front. My fingers are crossed that we don't spread out :) Until next time...when we are even bigger! HA

Introducing Keegan James!!!

Oh we are just so excited that we are having a boy! If you didn't know Matthew is the only boy McCaslin out of all the grandkids. So, there was no pressure or anything for this baby to be a boy to carry on the name! Praise Jesus the stress of having a male is over :) Here are a few on the pictures we got taken of the little guy.

He sure wasn't very shy about showing us that he is proud to be a male!! Now for all the fun to begin. For the first 4 hours of my day today I went through mulitple websites picking out my favorite baby bedding. Now that that is done we just have to sit down and figure out our favorite :) Good thing Christmas is coming up!

It looks as though we will be finding out the sex of the baby a little earlier. We are going on the 9th to get an ultrasound. We are super excited that we don't have to wait until the 15th now! I will make sure and post the SEX and NAME once we find out!!!

Week 17

Well, we are now going on 17 weeks and 4 days....only 22 weeks a 3 days to go! Seems alot closer than it really is. We went to the doctor last Wednesday and got to hear the heart beat again. Matthew recorded it on his phone and makes everyone he sees listen to it. He is such a proud daddy! Life at our house has been a little crazy and it will stay crazy until after Christmas. Between Matthews school, traveling, work, Atlanta Boy Choir and now Upward starting this week my house is very quiet.

We had a pretty good Thanksgiving. My family was in Texas hunting and attending the Dallas Cowboy game...insert jealousy here...and we stayed in GA. Matthew golfed a lot and we put up Christmas. I would leave my Christmas decorations up all year if people wouldn't think I was a freak! HA!

I have got to call the Hospital to set up an appointment to get my ultrasound so we can find out what we are having! I am going to try to make it for the 15th so if you haven't voted on a boy or girl you better get on it!! After that we go back to the doctor on the 23rd!

Week 11

My pregnancy has been awesome! I haven't felt sick at all - as long as I have frequent snacks of course. I have finally gotten the pictures we took at 11 weeks off of my camera. They really aren't that cool since I am not really "showing" just looking bloated. We will take some more this week since these were over a month ago.
